Tourism Authority of Thailand announces third run of The One for Nature campaign
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) launched the third edition of its The One for Nature campaign at an eco-fair at SOOKSIAM on the ground floor of Bangkokโs ICONSIAM.
With the tagline, Leave No Trace Behind, this run of The One for Nature seeks to motivate travellers to explore Thailand responsibly and be a part of the contribution to the tourism sectorโs long-term drive towards sustainability.
TAT deputy governor for marketing communications Nithee Seeprae said โThe campaign reflects TATโs vision to position ourselves as a leader in sustainable, experience-based tourism. Various activities under this campaign are aimed to create memorable experiences for visitors and contribute to global conservation efforts, while addressing the demand for eco-friendly travel options and ensuring the long-term sustainability of Thailandโs tourism sector.โ
To further boost awareness on Thailandโs sustainable tourism direction, travellers are also encouraged to join an online activity for a chance to win a three-day/two-night sustainable tour package in Thailand. There are three prize packages: one in Khao Lak, Phang-nga, and two in Phuket. Each includes round-trip flight tickets for two, accommodation, meals, and activities.
Taking the message on the road
The campaignโs opening salvo at SOOKSIAM was a two-day affair on the 17th and 18th of this month that featured interactive booths to raise awareness about the campaign. Tourists were invited to join in workshops on recycling and turning trash into treasure.
TAT will be taking the event to several key tourist destinations till mid-September. The eco-fair will be held in Krabi, Chiang Mai, and Koh Samui.
TAT launched the third edition of โThe One for Nature: Leave No Trace Behindโ campaign with an eco-friendly activity at SOOKSIAM G Floor, ICONSIAM, Bangkok, on 17 and 18 August.
Drumming up support for a sustainable destination
The One for Nature was created to enhance brand awareness of Amazing Thailand and reiterate Thailandโs sustainable tourism direction. The initiative seeks to raise widespread awareness, foster collaboration with local agencies and communities, and strengthen the kingdomโs positive image as a quality leisure destination.
By motivating tourists keen on sustainability to participate through various online platforms and other channels, the campaign seeks to communicate directly with travellers with high purchasing power and responsible-tourism preferences from Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.
